    Men’s ‘farewell’ Breakfast 6/1

Guys - this is a special men’s breakfast - a ‘farewell’ from the guys to Pastor Josh!  Pastor Tim will be speaking, we will be praying over Josh, and there may be some other surprise things that we can’t tell you about!  And of course, there will be awesome food. HOWEVER, there is a change for this men’s breakfast: we need your RSVP by May 28th.  With the crowd that we presume will be here, we need a good count of how many men to prepare for.  So please email Pastor Mark ( or call the church office and let him know that you’re coming by May 28th to reserve your spot and your food!!!!

Gutteridge farewell services and luncheon 6/2

We are going to have our usual services at 9 and 11am, but change the format to honor and Pastor Josh and his family and to ask the Lord’s blessing on them as they head to Chicago for their mission work!

After the 11am service, we will head over to the Ed. building (hopefully outside under a tent) for a semi-catered luncheon starting about 12:30.  However, reservations are needed for this luncheon by emailing or calling the church office or filling out the bulletin insert by Sun, May 19th!  [Also, please indicate how many children you have coming that would prefer Mac & cheese rather than beef brisket.]    Cost: free, though if you want to help defray the cost of the lunch, please just throw in an extra $10/person ($5/kid) into the offering plate.

  • Spring discipleship classes

    Walking more closely with Jesus

    Spring discipleship series

We have intentionally stopped our Life Groups early this year so that everyone will have the chance to take advantage of a few classes we want to offer.  So, for the 4 Sundays between Easter and Memorial Day (4/28 - 5/19), we are offering 3 different classes at church from 4 - 5:30pm (with a fellowship snack break in the middle):

Making Marriages Flourish (led by Pastor Josh)

Society requires years of preparation for almost any significant career endeavor, but demands no real preparation for one of the most crucial undertakings in life: marriage. In this class, we will turn to the timeless Word of God for timely principles for the flourishing of our marriages.

The Bible Basics  (led by Pastor Mark)

Though it is a massive volume, with 66 different books and almost as many authors, the Bible isn’t as hard to understand as one may think.  This course is meant to give an overview of God’s Word and answer questions such as:

-How did we get it? -Who really wrote it? -How is it organized? -How & why should I study it?

-What tools are there to help understand it?

Biblical Conflict Resolution (led by Candi Hallam)

Whether we’re talking about marriage, kids, the office, school, your neighbors, your family -  there is one thing that is for sure: conflict! And why? Because we’re all flawed human beings!  In this class, we will look at what God says about how to resolve conflict in a way that not only solves the problem(s) well, but also makes your Father in heaven look good as you do it!

We would like everyone attending one of these classes to let us know by Easter Sunday (4/21) which class you plan on attending.  You can email ( or call (699-6768) the church office, or fill out the bulletin insert and put it in the offering plate.
