  • Mark friday

    Associate pastor

Mark has extensive experience in ministry as a youth pastor, associate pastor and Senior Pastor. He brings a pastoral heart to our ministry as well as administrative leadership.

Marshall lives in the Peoria area with his wife Ashley, two sons Levi and Knox, and rescue black lab mix Maylie. He and his family have been attending CrossPoint Church since 2007 where he was invited to participate in the Worship Team almost immediately and has been faithfully serving ever since.

Marshall spent 10 years working in the industrial construction/maintenance world  in downtown Peoria. He is now working full-time as the maintenance manager for Samaritan Ministries International.

He has a strong passion for music and faith-sharing through music. He spent his high school and college-age years attending music festivals, local shows, playing in and leading worship for other youth groups and churches, and even playing guitar in a few local original bands. He and  his wife are currently in a local parent punk band with fellow CrossPoint member Derek Mleynek... you'll have to ask him about it!

Tim Brown serves as the Youth Pastor at CrossPoint Church. In September of 2018 he married his beautiful bride Jessica who also has a passion for ministry! Together they serve Jesus to give Him the glory and reach young people with the Gospel.

Tim graduated from Methodist College in Peoria with his Bachelor's in nursing. A few months after Tim accepted a position at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria on their Adolescent Behavioral Health Unit. On the weekends, he started volunteering with the high school ministry at CrossPoint. God knew Tim had a passion for working with young people, and in the Fall of 2016 opened a door for him to come on staff as CrossPoint's part-time Youth Pastor. In addition, Tim continues to work at the hospital part time ministering to the kids on his unit.

In his spare time you may find Tim drinking a big cup of coffee (at one of his favorite coffee shops, 3030), baking giant cupcakes (at his home AKA the Brown's Bistro), or entertaining the crowds with his saxophone!
